Fraser Valley Cornhole (“FVC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a community cornhole club based in Langley, BC, Canada. Information you give us
- Account & profile: your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, birthdate, gender, and profile photo — whatever you choose to provide.
- Sign-in details: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. If you use a magic link, we receive your email address.
- Event & tournament participation: when you check in to play, your name, email, phone number, an optional skill rating, and an optional headshot photo.
- Booking requests: your name, contact details, and the event details you share when you request a date.
- Communications: messages, feedback, and correspondence you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical and log data (such as browser type and general activity) that our hosting and infrastructure providers generate to keep the site running and secure.
- Essential cookies used only to keep you signed in and maintain your session. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How We Use Your Information
- Run our membership roster, league nights, and events.
- Create tournament matchups, live scoring, and standings.
- Process and confirm event booking requests, and issue invoices and receipts.
- Send you club communications — league reminders, event announcements, and news — where you've chosen to receive them.
- Respond to your questions, feedback, and requests.
- Maintain the security, integrity, and proper functioning of our website.
We rely on your consent to collect and use your personal information for these purposes. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see “Your Choices and Rights” below).
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited ways:
- Service providers: trusted companies that operate our platform on our behalf — including our database and authentication host (Supabase), our website host (Vercel), Google (for sign-in), and our email delivery provider (Resend). They may only use your information to provide services to us.
- Other participants at events: during tournaments, your name and headshot may be visible to other players so partners and opponents can recognize you, and your results may appear in standings.
- Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of the club, our members, or others.
Payments
Event payments are made by Interac e-Transfer to ryan@bccornhole.com. We do not collect or store credit card or bank account numbers on our website.
Where Your Information Is Stored
Our database is hosted in Canada. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards — including access controls and encrypted connections — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How Long We Keep It
We keep your personal information for as long as you remain a member or participant, or as needed to fulfil the purposes described here and to meet legal or accounting requirements. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will do so except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, financial records).
Your Choices and Rights
- Access and correction: you can view and update most of your details on your account page, or ask us for a copy of what we hold.
- Email preferences: you can unsubscribe from club emails at any time using the link in any email or the toggle on your account page.
- Deletion: you can ask us to delete your account and personal information.

Children and Minors
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information without parental consent. Where a minor takes part in our youth or league programs, we ask that a parent or guardian review this policy and provide consent on their behalf.
